Pippi Longstocking

Children's play by Astrid Lindgren

DSC_1375.JPG

"If I had any other intention with the character of Pippi than to amuse my young readers, it was to show them that you can have power without abusing it, because of all the tricks in life, this is clearly the most difficult."

Astrid Lindgren

Pippilotta Viktualia Rollgardia Pfefferminz Efraim's daughter Longstocking moves into Villa Kunterbunt together with her horse, Little Uncle, and the monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Since then, nothing in the little village has been the same, because Pippi simply does what she wants. She knows no fear, is super strong, wonderfully ill-bred, is a great fibber and can tell fantastic stories. She triumphs over burglars, teachers and police officers. And for Tommy and Annika, the two neighbor children, she becomes the most wonderful friend in the whole world.
