Comedy by Debbie Isitt

A modern theater classic at the Fritz Theater. Under the title "The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband", the play celebrated its world premiere in England in 1991. Audiences and critics alike were enthusiastic about author and director Debbie Isitt's first work, so that this wicked, black-humored English comedy is now performed on many stages around the globe, and with success everywhere. No wonder, because men are the same all over the world, especially when it comes to younger women.

Hot happiness in foreign beds. - After ten years of marriage to Hilary, Ken begins a relationship with the lively and attractive Laura. At first glance, Laura embodies everything that Kenneth lacks in his life with Hilary. Laura is sexy, adventurous and adores Ken. There's just one problem: Laura can't cook, and his mistress urges him to finally come clean with his wife. But Kenneth sees things very differently: why should he choose when he can have both? He doesn't want to give up either sex with Laura or his wife's unsurpassed cooking skills. But the lover doesn't play along for long, she goes to the wife and makes things clear. The betrayed woman maintains a remarkable composure, but inside she is seething: she devises a diabolical plan. At last she has a reason to put her cooking skills to good use. Hilary invites her to the table and has a real surprise in store. A nasty showdown begins. With wonderfully black humor, author Debbie Isitt takes on marital and other relationships and serves up a brilliant tabloid comedy: sharp-tongued, macabre and hilarious.
