Cyrano - poet and warhorse

A burlesque poetic adventure by Edmond Rostand.

7062.jpg

Cyrano de Bergerac, a proud nobleman and Gascon cadet who is as brave and virtuoso with his sword as he is with his verse, has only one flaw: his grotesquely large nose, which makes him the laughing stock of everyone. Because of it, he does not dare to confess his love for the beautiful Roxane. Instead, he lends his words, verses and even his voice to Christian, his handsome but not exactly witty rival. The turbulent cloak-and-dagger adventures and the romantic love story of the fearless fighter and eloquent hero Cyrano are told in an exciting, fast-paced play that is bursting with comedy.

This play promises everything you could wish for in a cultivated evening of theater: comedy, tragedy, poetry, sharp words, love, hate, eroticism, music, dance, fencing scenes and a backdrop that has a few surprises in store.
