The association was founded in 2015 with 7 members. As of January 1, 2024, 102 members support the Fritz Theater team with their contributions and donations as part of the association. We are united by our interest in culture and theater.
Chemnitz has a lot to offer in this field and yet far too few people know about the great plays and the familiar flair of our Fritz Theater.
And this is exactly where we, the members of the Support Association, are active. We want to tell as many people as possible about our experiences at the Fritz. And we do this with a great deal of passion, because we have not just seen the plays, but are very close to the protagonists and share their excitement, trembling, laughter and sometimes tears before every premiere.
To make people interested in culture aware of the Fritz Theater in as many places in the city as possible, we help distribute the program booklets, fill car trunks, bike bags, rucksacks or handbags and hand them out at our contact points. And there are many - family, friends and colleagues, the hairdresser or baker, etc.
The theater has also had an amateur group for more than 10 years. The Fritz professionals are highly committed to the young and young-at-heart amateur artists, convey their passion for theater and have even made it onto the big stage of the Chemnitz Schauspielhaus with the plays "Ich knall euch ab" and "Kojanisqaatsi - Leben im Ungleichgewicht". Great successes and certainly an experience with goose bumps for the players. Participation in the group is free for everyone, there is no membership fee. That's why we are always happy to support their projects.
